Do you know a young Cameroonian entrepreneur who is a true hero? Nominate them for the prestigious Cameroon Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The Shirlma Show is searching for remarkable entrepreneurs, who have achieved significant milestones in their business journeys. This award recognises and honours individuals who have overcome challenges, persevered through hardship, and made a positive impact on Cameroon. They are the unsung heroes of entrepreneurship, and it's time to celebrate their achievements!
Who can be nominated?
• An entrepreneur.
• Must be a citizen or resident of Cameroon
• Founder or co-founder of a registered business in Cameroon
• We are not searching for starters. We are looking for established entrepreneurs who have:
- Grown their businesses to a substantial level, demonstrably through:
▪ Number of employees recruited
▪ Annual turnover
- Implemented innovative solutions that address real issues in Cameroon
- Made a measurable positive impact on the nation's economy, society, or environment
- Demonstrated the values of unwavering determination, hard work, persistence, focus, resilience, and consistency.
We understand that many accomplished entrepreneurs are not interested in awards or filling out lengthy applications. That's why we want you to nominate them and we've made the nomination process simple
What are the benefits of being nominated?
The winner of the Awards will:
• Receive a $5,000 USD prize
• Get an unforgettable leisure trip for two to Rwanda, a fellow African nation known for its innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. This trip will provide an opportunity for learning, cultural exchange, and relaxation
• Gain national recognition for your entrepreneurial achievements
• Network with other established entrepreneurs
• Be profiled by The Shirlma Show
National Recognition
The 10 shortlisted nominees will receive exposure throughout the following 3 months:
• Featured profiles on The Shirlma Show.
• Documentaries produced showcasing their businesses and stories.
• Profiles shared on at least 2 different television stations in Cameroon.
• Extensive promotion across social media platforms.
The Ultimate Recognition
Following the 3-month profiling period, the public will have the opportunity to cast their votes for the winner. Their vote will account for 40% of the final evaluation. The remaining 60% will be determined by a panel of expert judges.
The winner of the Entrepreneur of The Year Award 2024 Cameroon will be announced at an award ceremony During the Shirlma Show Live event/Entrepreneurship Jamboree in November 23, 2024 and will receive:
• $5,000 USD prize to reinvest in their business and further their impact.
• An unforgettable leisure trip for two to Rwanda, a fellow African nation known for its innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. This trip will provide an opportunity for learning, cultural exchange, and relaxation.
