By faithybecks@yahoo.com Faith

The Shirlma Live Audience Show – October 2021

Douala Cameroon- The Shirlma Show team recently hosted the last edition of its live audience show for the year 2021 at hotel Residence La Falaise Akwa on the 30th of October 2021.

What an amazing way to close the year. The show was a mega success as it hosted over 100 participants in the audience, an amazing jury of 3, 10 business owners with innovative businesses competing, and three guest speakers with transformational talks on entrepreneurship.

The main contestants for the October 2021 edition were namely

  • Minkoumou Augustin ( Founder of LE BON AUGUSTIN)
  • Jelah Bisih ( founder of LUNAS)
  • Dolly Pokam(co-founder of CILAC SARL)
  • Lekeya Foletia (founder LEKEYA BIO COMPANY Ltd)
  • Donfack Arnauld (founder of DOVO SKINCARE SARL)
  • Malieh Maxime(Co-founder of PREPDIA)
  • Longla Carlson(co-founder of Global Information Technology)
  • Ndangang Astride(Founder of Saucissons de poisson yeülah)
  • Konfor Solange( founder of SIRA_TECH)
  • Junior Nteppe( co-founder of KINITRA FRESHLINE)

After a very stiff business pitch competition, Ndangang Astride of Sacissons de poison yeulah was voted the winner by our judges. Her business which is focused on the production of fish sausage proved to meet most of the criteria the judges were looking for in a business. It is worthy to note that her business is quite an innovative one as it has little or no competitor so far in Cameroon. Malieh Maxime of PREPDIA and Konfor Solange of SIRA TECH followed as 2nd  and 3rd  best businesses respectively.

Before the competition, the participants were given online training on Customer service, employee management, and business ethics. They also received a one-day workshop training on business sustainability, accounting, and how to better pitch their businesses.

To motivate, encourage, promote entrepreneurship and ethical business practices in Africa, the shirlma show has hosted 5 major events between October, 2019 and 2021, mentored and coached 47 startups, and has given out 5 million FCFA worth of supplies to 5 deserving business owners.

The progressive growth of the Shirlma Show simply shows that there is a lot to be done in the entrepreneurial sector of Africa and Cameroon in particular. We are much honored to be part of the people leading the change in this sector and won’t be where we are today without the people who believed in us from day one.

We would love to say thank you to everyone who has supported and promoted the Shirlma Show in one way  just to mention a few, we say thank you to Nfor Gabriel of VGF and partners consulting, Churchill Nanje of Njorku, Maina Gana of Develop Africa, Chantal Edie of the Forest Creative Loft, Emmanuel Amabo of Bold  Entrepreneurs, Collins Mazu of Africa Finance Services, Rowland Kwemain of Go Ahead Africa, Asta Beri of BeriBaker Cakes & Pasteries, Epey Collins of Motion Fountain, Elvis Wantoh of Smart Constructions,  Kimbi blog,  My Media Prime TV ……

We look forward to a bigger and better 2022!
